This webpage has information and resources you can use to recover from the severe storms and flooding event the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) experienced March 26-28, 2025. The information below is subject to change, so check with the relevant government agency or organization to see what is available for you.
State and local partners continue to encourage the public to call 2-1-1, visit the 211 website, and monitor local media outlets for alerts and identification of resources.

The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance was July 22, 2025.
Visit a DRC
Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) provide disaster survivors with information from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration. At a DRC, you can get help applying for federal assistance, learn about the types of assistance available, learn about the appeals process and get updates on your applications. There are DRCs in Harlingen, Pharr, San Benito, and Weslaco. Learn more about these DRCs.

Disaster loans from SBA
SBA disaster loans may be available to homeowners, renters, and businesses of all sizes. This applies to Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties, and the 4 other contiguous counties that may have been affected. The deadline to file for Physical Damage is July 22, 2025 (applications were still being accepted as of August 11, 2025). The deadline to file for Economic Injury is February 23, 2026.
