Family Future Planning: Taking the Big Step to Plan (webinar)

July 13, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

It is important for families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to plan for the future, especially as parents age. However, there are barriers that make it difficult to start the dialogue and take the big step to plan. In this session, you will learn about the importance of future planning and how to break through the barriers and start the conversation. Presenters will discuss what the future planning process looks like and the positive outcomes that can result. This is the first of three sessions in the webinar series.

About the webinar series
Adults with IDD are living longer and family future planning remains a vital focus. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, in partnership with the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities, will host this webinar as part of their Aging and IDD: Family Future Planning Webinar Series.
