Joint Statement from Austin ISD and Disability Rights Texas

On the evening of August 22, 2024, the Austin ISD (AISD) Board of Trustees approved a settlement agreement in a lawsuit filed in March 2021 by Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) regarding delayed special education evaluations. AISD and DRTx are pleased to reach this agreement and now await final approval from the court.
