October is National Disability Awareness Month. This year we have some exciting things planned, including a webinar and legal clinic on October 28, 2021 – “Asking for Workplace Accommodations: It Doesn’t Have to Be Spooky.” We’ll also be posting on social media helpful information such as employer toolkits, Know Your Disability Employment Rights resources for workers, and the stories of people with disabilities who are making an impact in the workplace.
FYI, the Workplace Acccommodations Toolkit for Employers from the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is a free, comprehensive online resource for employers seeking to move beyond basic compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in order to create more disability-inclusive workplaces.
