To contact DRTx with a specific request, please review the following options:

• Apply for legal services from DRTx: People with disabilities who believe they are experiencing disability rights discrimination or having difficulty obtaining disability services can apply for legal help from DRTx by submitting an Online Service Request. To apply by phone, please visit our How to Apply for Services page to learn about other ways to apply for help including calling our toll-free intake line or one of our sign language phone lines.
• Checking on the status of your service request: It takes 10 business days (not counting Saturday, Sunday or holidays) for staff to review your request. Shortly after you will receive an email and/or mailed letter letting you know if we were able to take your case. Please check your email and/or USPS mail for our response.
• Appeals and complaints: To file an appeal of our denial of your case or a complaint regarding our services, visit the Appeals and Complaints Process page.
• Resources: To request copies of our resources or to request our resources in alternative formats, submit a Resource Request Form.
• Reporters: Credentialed reporters interested in interviewing someone on our staff can visit our Press Room page for contact information.
• Speaker or exhibit requests: Complete our speaker or exhibit request form.
• Student interviews: Students who would like to interview a member of the DRTx staff for a class project can submit a Student Request to Interview Staff form.

Starting November 10, 2025, main phone line hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. (Phone lines are closed between noon and 1 p.m.)
