“I have enjoyed serving on both the DRTx Board and PAIMI Council because it has allowed me to have a firsthand perspective of the important work that DRTx does every day to protect the rights of people with disabilities in Texas,” said Weeks. “As the new Chair, I am honored to help lead the organization in continuing to ensure people with disabilities are afforded the same opportunities in life that all people have.”

Weeks is a frequent speaker on special needs trusts and guardianship for attorneys, advisors, educators and parents of children with special needs. She lives with her husband and daughter and is a member of the Watermark Community Church.

“Tresi has a strong personal record of supporting and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities,” said DRTx Executive Director Mary Faithfull. “She brings a unique perspective and will be a great asset to our organization as Chair of our Board.”

In addition to her volunteer work with DRTx, Weeks is a board member and past President of the Collin County Bar Association Estate Planning and Probate Section. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Estate Planning Council of North Texas, the Association for Independent Living (AFIL) in Dallas, Coventry Reserve in Wylie and the Dallas Society of Financial Service Professionals.
