2025 Disaster Readiness and Resilience Clinic & Expo logo

With hurricane season right around the corner, it’s a great time to get prepared for whatever weather Texas might throw at you. To get ready, attend the 2025 Disaster Readiness and Resilience Clinic & Expo on May 17 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

The clinic: create a preparedness plan

The clinic is an activity within the expo where you can create a personal disaster preparedness plan which will address your individual needs and considerations.

When you arrive, you’ll get a workbook and team up with a navigator to understand the different preparedness topics you can address. You’ll visit local organizations, gather helpful information, and fill out your workbook to take home as your preparedness plan.

Participation in the clinic is optional—you’re also welcome to just attend the expo.

The expo: info & activities

The expo will be a family-friendly event that is open to the public. The expo will feature panel discussions, expert speakers, demonstrations, kids activities, exhibitors, and emergency vehicles. At the end of the event, there will be a prize giveaway.
