Community Services Allow Autistic Man to Avoid Institutionalization

Daniel has autism, and his mom was struggling to get behavioral support services for him after he had numerous ER visits. She tried asking the Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA) for help but was told by them that he did not meet criteria for crisis diversion services. When she reached out to DRTx, our staff was able to show that Daniel was eligible, and within hours the request for crisis diversion services was submitted. The request was approved and the services Daniel now receives have been life-changing for him and his family.
